Creativity Is Your SuperPower
The Remembering:
A Creative Weekend Retreat
Imagine sinking into creativity beside a lake as summer begins its gentle turn toward fall.
The deck is open, the water is close, and for once there is nowhere to be and nothing to manage. Just color, movement, and the quiet voice inside you that has been waiting to be heard.
The Remembering is a transformational weekend retreat where art becomes your meditation, your mirror, and your medicine. Through intuitive painting, you’ll channel emotion onto canvas, then work with powerful feminine archetypes using color, movement, and sacred symbols, you'll create a personal talisman of courage and possibility. Together, we weave creativity, reflection, and sisterhood into an experience that leaves you inspired, grounded, and fully reminded:
Your creativity is your superpower.
No art experience needed, just curiosity and openness.
The Setting:
We’ll be gathering at the Hangout 1111 — a beautiful lakefront property in Granite Falls, NC. In January we held the first retreat here with all the windows closed against the cold. This September, we get the full experience: painting on the open deck, morning reflections by the water, meals shared in the warm early-fall air.
The lake, the deck, the turning of the season — it’s all part of the medicine.
In January 2026, a small group of women gathered here for the very first Remembering Retreat. They arrived carrying stress, uncertainty, and the weight of daily life. They left with renewed clarity, deep connection, and a personal talisman painting they’d created themselves.
This September, we return — with the same love, the same sacred space, and everything we learned from that first gathering. Plus the lake. Plus the deck. Plus the magic of early fall.
"What a wonderful weekend, filled with connection, and gently guided artistic expression. Do it."
~Alison
"I was slightly uncomfortable going into the retreat, particularly about my lack of painting skills. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to create something on the spot that was worthwhile. However, Kim did a beautiful job allowing me to be where I was and was skilled at dissipating the pressure I was putting on myself. The rest of the group was open and receptive and that also allowed for the environment to feel free and creative. It turns out that I absolutely love what I’ve painted and the process through which she came alive. To this day My painting is hanging in my kitchen, so I can enjoy her and reminisce about the experience of expressing my inner self. I was surprised at the creative process that Kim orchestrated. It felt truly magical.
Thank you for the experience, Kim!"

I'm Kimberly Bost—an artist, activist, and mother rooted in Hickory, North Carolina. My creative journey began in design and fashion, where I worked with nationally recognized brands before turning my focus toward art with a deeper Purpose. Over time, my Work expanded beyond the canvas and into the community: I've run for the North Carolina General Assembly three times, and today I serve as Executive Director of OUTright Youth of Catawba Valley, supporting LGBTQ+ youth in rural communities.
Across all these roles, artist, advocate, leader—one truth guides me:
Art isn't just expression.
It's a transformation.
It can change us, and through us, change the world.
Why You Need This Experience
